I have never done Pilates until today, so my point of comparison for the Beachbody’s take on it is pretty limited. Having just finished the X3 Pilates I can say that it seems like a really good core workout, but I don’t think it is any better than AbRipper or other core-focussed P90 workouts. It may be that I was not able to do the moves all that well, but the ‘breathing benefit’ that Pilates is suppose to have – I simply wash;t feeling it. It felt like a different series of core and ab moves. All in, it was pretty good, but I am not sure it would be a fav.
The good news — 25 days into X3, and so far I have only missed one workout. And I have done 4 or 5 supplemental climbing session. A great start to the new year.
