Have you ever heard of a Cuddle Club or a Cuddle Service? I hadn’t. So, for those of you who, like me, were in the dark, here’s the deal.
A cuddle club is where people get together for an evening of non sexual cuddling. You can attend alone, as a couple or as a group. You wear your pyjamas (not lingerie… janmmies) and have an evening of non-sexual cuddling with other participants.
A cuddle service is similar. A professional cuddle comes to your home and, for a fee, you engage in 60, 90 or 120 minutes of non-sexual cuddling.
I had never heard of this but I find it fascinating. Assuming it is, as advertised, completely non sexual, I can understand the benefits. Many people – in our modern, busy society – are missing that sense of connection and touch that we all crave… that is so important to us as human beings. As David Safaris said, humans are creatures of touch. So being able to enjoy touch, closeness and warmth with none of the complicating elements of sex and relationship… I get it.
But another part of me wonders… really? You put men and women together in a room with their pyjamas and tell them to cuddle together. Or an attractive man or woman comes to your apartment for a cuddle session. Sure we’re creatures of touch, but we’re also sexual beings. On one of the cuddle club websites, under the FAQs, it asks what if I get aroused. The answer… many people get aroused when touched… it is normal and it will pass. Hmm? But what if they both get aroused? It may pass, or hands may wander.
No judgement either way. I think cuddle clubs sound like a great idea… but I also think sex clubs are perfectly fine.
So, has anyone ever been to a cuddle club or used a cuddle service? What do you think it would be like? Is it cuddling or cuddling plus? I would love to attend one just to see.
