Can our egos really handle the latest tech wizardry coming-out of Naked Labs? It is a mirror that, in 20 seconds, measures your weight, percent body fat and measurements… and displays them on the mirror surface.
The benefit, of course, is as a fitness and diet aid, to give you regular feedback on progress (or lack thereof) of your training. In many ways I find this very appealing. We all know that weight alone is a terrible measure of your physical fitness. I try to do my measurements quasi regularly, but rarely get around to it. And body fat is very tough to measure for athletic people because of the variation on done and muscle density.
So, yeah, I see the appeal of something like this. But every day? Do I really want these stats staring me in the morning every single day. Its kind of like a performance review with your boss… once a quarter is really useful, but every morning… shoot me now. The last thing I want after a weekend of rich food and alcohol is a mirror on Monday morning that is going to hang me with my sins.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all. Depends on the day!
